Xu Sanhuang，graduated from the Department of Art Design at the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts in 2014 and primarily lives and works in Guangzhou.
In recent years, I have focused on art creation using paper as the primary medium. My work merges form and poetry, responding to contemporary life through the poetics of materials, while exploring the relationship between humans and nature, as well as humans and materials. At the same time, my creative practice emphasizes the gentle power and possibilities of the "hand."

”I spent my childhood on a semi-open wild shore, where the river meets the sea—a place that became the starting point of my intimate connection with nature.In my early explorations, I worked with wood, drawn to its dense and weighty presence. As my practice evolved, I gradually shifted toward paper. In the history of Chinese materials, the earliest paper was derived from natural plant fibers. Paper not only possesses a more flexible physicality but also delicately captures the vitality of nature and its unseen transformations.Its organic texture evokes a profound contemplation of the relationship between humans and nature, leading me to explore different natural forces through paper. This exploration encompasses both deeply personal emotions and the dynamics of collective collaboration, where openness and interaction shape the creative process.“
